Hair Tips
For type 3 & 4 hair and dreadlocks
Wash day
Step 1. Part your hair into smaller sections, then apply deep conditioner generously to each section, then cover your hair with a plastic cap for an hour, then detangle your hair with a detangling brush or comb, then wash out using shampoo.
Step 2. Make a mixture of vinegar ( apple cider or white vinegar) (200ML) and water (800ML). Rinse your hair with this mixture and leave it in your hair for 2 to 5 minutes, then rinse out with clear water until you can't smell the vinegar anymore.
Step 3. Once you have wiped the hair apply the oil and comb the hair while still wet to avoid it tangling up again. If you have a moisturiser you can also apply at this stage. (We are still working on our moisturiser)
Step 4. Once the hair is dry, feel it with your hands to see if it still needs moisture then spray leave in conditioner to keep it hydrated then style as you wish.
This must be done twice a month to keep the hair and scalp healthy.
Daily Use
The leave in conditioner is for daily use, spray daily and style as you wish.
Even when you have braids on spray leave in conditioner daily. The leave in conditioner must reach both your scalp and hair. Apply the hair growth oil on a regular basis to your scalp and hair.
Night Routine
Keep your hair detangled at all times to avoid breakage. Do not detangle your hair while it is dry. Apply leave in conditioner before you detangle your hair. If you have thicker hair, you have to detangle in sections then braid into twist and cover the hair with a silk doek or bonnet every night. If the hair is dry apply leave in conditioner before making the twists. It must be damp when you work on it.
To restore hairline
Gentle place a hot towel on the hairline area or bald spot for a minute before applying few drops of oil and massage gentle. Do not burn yourself, the towel must feel warm on your skin to promote blood circulation.
Do this 5 times a week
This can cause product build up, so it is important to wash your hair whenever you feel like there is too much dirt.
This method also works for relaxed hair.
It takes 3 to 6 months to start seeing results, however, some people may see results earlier than that.
For Relaxed Hair
Wash day
Step 3. Wipe your hair, then apply your heat protector before drying your hair with the hair dryer. Apply moisturiser (we are still working on our moisturiser) and a few drops of oil so your hair has the right amount of moisture and shine, it must not be greasy. Continue using the hair dryer to evenly distribute the products.
This must be done twice a month to keep the hair and scalp healthy.
For daily use
Do not apply the Leave in Conditioner unless your hair is plaited or in braids because the Leave in Conditioner is watery and does not work well on relaxed hair. Only apply it when you have braids on, then you can use it as a daily spray for braids.
If you are on a hair growth journey, apply few drop of oil to your scalp, massage for 2 minutes to evenly distribute the product. Do this 2 to 3 times a week.
Applying the products regularly may cause product build up. Wash your hair whenever you start noticing a lot of product build up.
